My wife is here in dubai with me under my sponsorship. She is now pregnant with our first child and is leaving for India this NOV for delivery. There are 2 issues i need help on:
1) If she stays in India for longer than 6 months (baby is due in early March) then does her visa get automatically cancelled, or do i need to cancel it before she leaves. I would rather have her back before the 6 months get over in May but due to the baby being too young it may not work out. In this scenario, if she is in India how do i go about getting her visa sorted when she comes back (say 8-10 months later)
2) We have a car which is currently in her name. She's stopped working and is leaving the country for 6-10 months. She wont be working again for atleast a year. I am paying the car installments by depositing money in her account and will continue to do so. Is this fine? Is there a need to transfer the car onto my name before she leaves or any other formalities or problems i could encounter? If i want to transfer the loan to me.. do i need to arrange finance (which i think may be tough in these times). I want to keep the car but avoid any problems. Also, what happens if the car has an accident etc.. if the original owner (my wife) is not in the country then what happens? Also if she exceeds the 6 month limit and her visa gets cancelled then is there any issue with the car loan.
Please help.. im really confused on these issues.
Thanks in advance to all who repond.|||Answer No 1:
Staying outside the UAE for more than six months will automatically result in the cancellation of residence visas and expatriates must then obtain new visas to enter the country again," said a senior official from the Ministry of Interior.
As per above the situation is very clear that after six months the visa will automatically be canceled.

Normally you pay for car installments by cheque. There is one way that you may transfer the loan to your name %26amp; replace the cheques as well. If you feel that the transfer of loan will not get approved then you have no choice you have to keep paying by same way you are doing now. If the cheque is not dishonored bank will not have problem with this but again you will need your wife while renewing the car but as she is under your sponsorship I think that situation is explainable %26amp; manageable to traffic authorities saying she is not in UAE now %26amp; though you are representing her. For that you need an authority letter from your wife.
Technically speaking you need to see the visa validity date of your wife visa as if that expires during the time she is out bank will ask for the renewed visa copy %26amp; that will surly be not available though the bank will freeze her account %26amp; you will be in trouble as further payment will not be possible.
If all above conditions go well you can wait for your wife to come back on a new visa %26amp; situation will get normal if she doesn鈥檛 then again you have a problem.
I will suggest to check the visa validity first to see what is the time margin you have in hand %26amp; if it suits your situation you can still take risk.
The safest way is to transfer the loan in your name so all goes well.
