Was Belle from Beauty and the Beast actually a princess?

She was a commoner that married a prince doesn't that make her a queen since the BEast was the last member of his family, as far as we know.|||Or right person, as the story turned out. Yes, he turned out to be, not a beast, but a cursed prince. But Belle was not a "princess" until she married him and she didn't marry him until after she realized she really did care about this ugly brute of a human being. Only then did anyone (she, the reader) find out that he was actually a prince. And I don't know whether the story (or some tellings of the story) include their marriage, but she'd not become "princess" until then.|||The only ones Disney recognizes as official "Princesses'" are: Snow White, Cinderella, Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, and Tiana (now).

|||There are others, but aren't considered the official ones. The unofficial "Princesses" are: Alice, Tinker Bell, Giselle, Nala (probably锘?because animal not human), Maid Marian, Megara, Minnie (Musketeers), Princess Mei, Ting-Ting, and Su, Princess Melody, Wendy, Jane, and Esmeralda .
